What types of exercises are involved, and what are the Health benefits to be gained?
Aerobic exercise is a form of exercise that works your heart, lungs and large muscles over a continuous period of time. Weight loss, increased energy levels, reduction of blood pressure are some of the many benefits you may experience.

Strength training improves the strength of your muscles, will keep your bones and muscles strong and provides protection for your joints. It also leads to improved posture, which helps alleviate long term pain and restricted joint mobility.
Flexibility training and stretching helps to relax muscles and reduce stiffness and reduce the risk of injury to muscles, ligaments and joints.
Specialised balance and falls prevention exercises can further help reduce the risk of injury through falls.
All of these exercises help to keep your heart, muscles and bones strong, protecting you from disease, accidents and a loss of independence.
